Union, you must be in our field of membership,
which includes:

the City of Sarasota

Employees of
this Credit Union
-
Persons
receiving retirement benefits from the City of
Sarasota General Employees Pension Fund, the
Sarasota Fire Department Pension Fund or the
Pension Fund of the Police Department of the
City of Sarasota

Any
Government Agencies or non-profit
organizations willing to do payroll deduction
to the SMECU
-
Anyone
related to an existing member by blood,
marriage or adoption

OPENING A NEW ACCOUNT

What this means to you: When you open an
account, we will ask for your name, address,
date of birth, and other information that
will allow us to identify you. We may also
ask to see your driver's license or other
identifying documents.
